RISING TIDE RANCH Vista CA II Samuel 22:17-20

Soon after arriving in California we were introduced to Buck and Tara Chaviarra by a mutual friend. We reached out and asked if they’d have room for us to visit, they made us feel at home immediately and we discovered life-long friends.

This Sober Living Ranch believes in the holistic approach to healing the body, mind, and spirit with an emphasis on spirit. This men only, safe place will give you the opportunity to encounter Jesus while you reside here.

We had the privilege of setting up our camper on this 5 acre ranch in Vista, CA right near Oceanside and close to the beach. Our first stop in California, we were introduced to Buck and Tara by a friend from Colorado Springs. We have stayed here on two occasions and love what this ranch is about.

Life on the Ranch is designed to help you work back to independent living and self-sufficiency all while in the midst of a loving and encouraging community. There are rotating chores, community outreach, Saturday fun days, a rec room with a pool table, ax throwing and a fire pit for good conversation. You may encounter roosters, cats who will greet you at your car or one of the pigs could come say hi.

 The ranch believes that community, connection, fun and brotherhood are the foundations to lasting recovery. Finding and engaging in things that bring you life are all part of restoration.

 The space allows you to address the body with amenities such as an on- site fitness center, close proximity to the beach and over 3 miles of nearby walking/biking trails.

Attending meetings and working a 12-step program allows you to heal the mind while your spirit will grow with bible studies and personal mentorship.

Buck and Tara have created a space for healing and restoration. We enjoyed getting to know Buck and Tara and all the people who work to give this ministry life.

Rising Tide Ranch is a mens’ residential sober living program.
